St Martin's Church 150th Anniversary

The older part of the present church was consecrated on Friday 11 November 1870 (St Martin's Day). We had hoped to commemorate the occasion with various events, but sadly we cannot now celebrate during lockdown. The service which we had intended to hold on Wednesday 11th November at 6.30 pm will not now take place. But we hope to find an opportunity for commemoration at some point in the remainder of our anniversary year.

Heritage Open Days 2020

We had to postpone our programme for 2019-20 owing to the lockdown caused by the Covid pandemic. We hope, in the course of 2021, to be able to fulfil the programme we had arranged, but at present we cannot set dates for events. In the immediate future, we propose to participate in the national Heritage Open Day programme by opening the church on Friday 18 September 2020 from 14.00 to 1800, and Saturday 19 September from 10.00 to 15.00.
